Kevin Nicol

Born Texan, yet raised in Boulder, Colorado, Kevin began a lifelong passion with cycling at 9 years of age, cheering on his idols Lemond, Hinault, Phinney and the Stetinas as they raced the Red Zinger and Coors Classic.  
Dale Stetina took a small group of local kids,  and showed us how to race bikes,  many going on to high profile pro cycling careers.  Back then I never imagined now racing his son, Peter.
Kevin received a BA in Molecular Biology from the University of Colorado and worked under a fellowship from the Howard Hughes Cancer Research Institute while competing on the US pro cycling circuit.
Team Hotel San Jose is happy to have Kevin’s experience and time trial ability to add to the speed and lead out power from years past. The team will be more competitive in multi day stage races with Kevin and several other new top time trial specialists. Watch them at Fort Davis, Joe Martin, Nature Valley and others.
