Alex Robinette
Alex arrived late to competitive cycling after beginning a career as an architect. In 2001, after two years of competition she had a professional mountain bike license, was competing in NRC events, followed the NORBA and AMBC national calendars, and UCI events. Alex raced for two years on the Schwinn Homegrown Team and has been with the foundations of Team Hotel San Jose since 2001. At about the time her career and fitness were at their peak, she started a family, and is now a full-time mom of two. After taking 5 years off, Alex is attempting to return to top level racing with a renewed love for the competitive challenges and social bonds that come from being part of a cycling community. Her ambitions are tempered by what she can accomplish at the age of 40 with two young children, but the ultimate podium is sharing a healthy, active lifestyle with her family.
